BSAVA courses which are not formally accredited

The Autumn 2025 Dispensing course is held online with a live Q&A session. 

The material will be released in small sections per week, containing approximately 1.5 hr of recorded lecture content and supporting notes. This course will carry 7.5 hours of CPD.

You may study this material at your own convenience, but we strongly advise that you cover all the material prior to the 2-hour Live Q&A session on 6th November 2025 at 10:00 a.m. on Zoom. 


It is compulsory that you attend this live session in order to complete the course and get your CPD certificate and/or AMTRA points. 
The material will remain available for one month after the live Q&A session



The Vet Nurse Merit Award in ECC and Anaesthesia is a non-accredited structured CPD course for the motivated nurse in primary care. 

The award is made up of 10 online sessions each containing a video lectures, supporting notes and most will include an online task of some type. 

The interactive  day is an essential part of the course and attendance at Woodrow House, Gloucester is expected. 

The assessment part of the award will consist of an Online open book MCQ assessment and a case study. More details and guidance will be given towards the end of the course.

This area of study is intended particularly for veterinary surgeons who wish to apply for inclusion in the RCVS List of Advanced Practitioners. Professional key skills are important for all veterinary professionals, however, and any BSAVA member (veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse) who would like to develop these skills further is welcome to participate.
